Firstly, it's worthwhile to note that gold (Au) in itself is a commodity that's been highly coveted ever since the World knew of beauty and economics - as far back as biblical times. The DRC Congo is an impoverished country with a long long history of civil conflicts. The country itself is highly endowed with natural resources. It's claimed that more than 90% of the Uranium used to build the nuclear warheads that were deployed by the United States on the two cities of Japan came from Zaire (Now DRC Congo) and yet this country is still quite poor!

We have held and maintained our Gold Mining and Trading license in the DRC Congo since 2004. It is our business. Besides getting deep into the dirt with our equipments to get the Gold, we also buy unprocessed stones from the local individual and small miners. " HOW DO I TELL THE NUMBER OF CARAT OF THE GOLD I HAVE PURCHASED?
The number of carat of the Gold will be stamped on the piece that you have purchased. E.g. a 24 carat Gold piece will be stamped 24K. The K in this case stands for Karat which is just an American way of spelling the same thing. Note that the carat property of any piece of Gold is technically determined and this can be verified by any dealers anywhere in case of any sorts of discontent.
